Seattle, WA - The Seattle Reign have announced their 2026 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) schedule, as the league enters its largest season ever with 16 clubs competing in 30 matches. The new additions of Boston Legacy and Denver Summit bring elevated competition and fresh matchups to the 14th year of the NWSL.

The Reign will play 12 of its 15 regular season matches at home in Lumen Field, but its first three matches of the season will be hosted at ONE Spokane Stadium as Lumen Field prepares to host the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup.

The club had been aware that the stadium would need to undergo many changes before the World Cup, and had been searching for a different venue that would meet its needs during the NWSL season. During head coach Laura Harvey’s press conference last week regarding her new contract extension, she was joined by some of the Reign FC senior leadership to discuss the unique 2026 schedule.

We knew pretty early on that with the transition to grass at Lumen Field that needed to happen prior to the hold window for World Cup, we were going to be impacted. There was just no way around it. We worked alongside the league and Lumen early in the process to sort of identify how truncated and small that impact could be. And then in parallel, we’re trying to find an alternate venue.

Mendoza-Exstrom continued by explaining how Spokane was the clear choice early on in the process, and is excited for the opportunity to showcase the team in a new location.

“There are really, really good standards in our league in terms of competition and venue, and we needed a soccer-specific stadium,” Mendoza-Exstrom said. “Spokane was really the only soccer-specific stadium that met all those needs.”

Harvey agreed from both a player and a coach perspective that the right decision had been reached. Everyone had been made aware of the process of finding a new location and the reasons behind it, and she felt that the decision was as easy as possible.

“I think from the players’ perspective, and I can just speak personally for me, it was honestly a big sigh of relief.”

The Reign will begin their season with two matches on the road before beginning their three-match stay in Spokane. After a short break during an international window, the club’s first home game at Lumen Field will be played at the end of April.

With an even total of 15 home matches and 15 away matches, the regular season will conclude with Decision Day on November 1st. For the first time since 2022, the Reign will close the season at home.

Another change to note this season is the addition of Victory+, a free online streaming service added by the NWSL to its rotation of broadcast partners. Fans will now be able to stream select games in 2026 on Victory+, NWSL+, ESPN, ION, Prime Video, ABC, and CBS Sports Network.
