Sounders Halftime Observations From Seattle’s Home Match Against Colorado, February 22nd, 2026
The Seattle Sounders FC have begun their 2026 MLS season, hosting the Colorado Rapids under the heavy rain of late February here in the Pacific Northwest. It’s been a chaotic first half, seeing the match go all the way until the 61st minute thanks to 12 minutes of initial stoppage time before more had to be added on.

Lumen Field will once again host a USWNT match, as the U.S. will play Japan in Seattle in April of 2026. The news comes as there will be natural grass installed ahead of the match in preparation for the Men’s World Cup matches taking place in the Emerald City this summer.
