Seattle Torrent Practice Notebook: November 30th, 2025
By Charles Hamaker
Seattle, WA - To close out the weekend that saw them play their inaugural home opener, the Seattle Torrent were back to work at the Kraken Community Iceplex for practice. The team was without a rookie forward but did seem to get promising news with a key veteran forward thankfully on the ice after a somewhat scary moment towards the end of the home opener. Here are a few notes from Seattle Torrent practice on Sunday, November 30th, 2025.

Addition to the injury list
Rookie forward and Torrent first round draft pick Jenna Buglioni was not on the ice for todays practice session at KCI, and team PR stated the reason for her absence was that she’s currently day-to-day with an upper body injury. It marks the second player that the team have listed as “day-to-day,” joining defender Aneta Tejralová, who has been out since the season opener against the Goldeneyes in Vancouver as she works her way back from a lower body injury. Prior to the inaugural home opener, head coach Steve O’Rourke said that Tejralová remains in the day-to-day category but the team is trying to get her back ahead of the contest on December 3rd, so here’s hoping that Seattle is able to get the Czechia international back for when the Sirens come to town.
With Buglioni, it’s tough to tell where and when exactly Buglioni picked up the upper body knock. The Torrent first round pick did sell out a bit during the teams late penalty kill in the third period and generally plays pretty tough, so it’s possible that it’s something she picked up during the game and the adrenaline rush helped push Buglioni through the game without feeling it too much. We’ll just have to see if she’s out on the ice for practice over the course of the next few days to determine her availability for Wednesday. If she’s not able to go, expect to see another rookie forward step into the lineup in the form of Lily Delianedis.
“She’s still day-to-day, trying to get her back in time for the next game, and then from there she’ll be a national team player. So, hopefully she gets back, for her sake, so that she can get to that. But for us, she’s a big piece for our team.”

Carpenter looks good to go
Veteran forward Alex Carpenter appeared banged up late into the third period of the home opener, around the 3:06 mark remaining while the Torrent had a 5-on-4 advantage as it was 4-on-4 play with the goaltender pulled in an effort to break the shutout. Carpenter had skated in front of Frost netminder Nicole Hensley in an effort to create a screen on a shut by Julia Gosling, but went down on her left knee almost immediately after. There was no clear contact with the Minnesota skater in front of her or with Hensley behind her, but she appeared to check her left leg before she skated off the ice. Carpenter would return with less than two minutes to play, but there was some concern that “Carpy” had picked up a knock in this game. Head coach O’Rourke didn’t have an update on her status after the game but Carpenter was at this practice and didn’t appear to have any setbacks, so at least initially it seems like there’s nothing to be concerned with here.
Goalies remain without masks
In a somewhat less important note, all three of the Seattle Torrent goaltenders are without their masks still as we get ready for the third game of the 2025-26 season. Back during training camp, veteran netminder Corinne Schroeder said that she wasn’t sure when her mask would arrive and that uncertainty makes sense as she’s had to play two games without it so far. All three goaltenders on the roster have their respective pad setups, but none of them have their masks yet or at least haven’t debuted them during practice.

Lyndie Lobdell meets with the media
Following the practice session, rookie defender Lyndie Lobdell met with the local media in attendance at the practice to discuss making her PWHL debut, how she’s stayed prepared for her moment, learning from some of the veteran blueliners on this Seattle roster, who she’s molded her game after, and much more. You can watch Lyndie’s full media availability in the video embedded below.
What’s next?
Following todays practice session at the Kraken Community Iceplex, the Seattle Torrent will have a few more sessions prior to their next game of their inaugural season. The team will have practice sessions on Monday and Tuesday at the Kraken Community Iceplex prior to game three of their season when they welcome the New York Sirens to town on Wednesday, December 3rd at Climate Pledge Arena with a 7PM PST puck drop. This contest against the Sirens represents the second game of five in a row at home for the Torrent, as Seattle looks to build the necessary chemistry needed to be the team that many believe they can be considering the talent on the roster. Currently, practices are closed to the general public so stay up to date on the Torrent by following Circling Seattle Sports on all platforms for updates.
