Seattle Mariners Postgame Thoughts - May 16th, 2026
Logan Gilbert couldn’t put together a complete start against the San Diego Padres, as a four-run fourth inning ballooned their lead to help the road team secure a series win over the Seattle Mariners midway through the month of May. The Mariners offense didn’t do Gilbert any favors, scratching across just two runs during the time he was on the mound before two runs in the eighth made this game closer than it truly was.
Brave in the Face of Adversity: Mariners Use Five-Run 6th Inning to Take Series Opener Against Atlanta
The Seattle Mariners used a five-run sixth inning to comeback and took the series opening game against the Atlanta Braves in tight fashion, bouncing back from a sweep at the hands of the Kansas City Royals the series before.
It Was Never Going to Be Easy: Mariners Bludgeoned by Blue Jays in Game Three of the ALCS
In a frustrating game three of the American League Championship Series, our Seattle Mariners couldn’t sustain early momentum against the Toronto Blue Jays after grabbing a two-game lead in Canada. Mariners starting pitcher George Kirby struggled in the third and fourth innings, and the Seattle offense failed to get anything going against Blue Jays starter Shane Bieber besides Julio Rodríguez’s two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning.
Mariners Offense Stifled by Tigers Bullpen in ALDS Game One Loss
Our Seattle Mariners find themselves down a game in the 2025 ALDS against the Detroit Tigers, failing to do much damage against a bullpen game from their AL Central foes. George Kirby was solid through five innings and the Seattle bullpen largely did their job, but the Mariners lineup was absent outside of Julio Rodríguez and Cal Raleigh.

Mariners Complete Dominant Sweep of Astros, Take 3 Game Lead in AL West

Mariners Secure Series Win Over Cardinals With 5-3 Victory
Our Seattle Mariners used home runs from Randy Arozarena and Josh Naylor to take game two and the series of this three-game set against the St. Louis Cardinals to begin a seven-game homestand in early September. While starting pitcher George Kirby struggled early, he was able to limit the damage from the Cardinals lineup and the Mariners bullpen locked things down.
State Of The Mariners – August 22nd, 2025
Our Seattle Mariners return home to T-Mobile Park tonight to begin a six-game homestand, coming off an ugly East Coast road trip. Our Brittany Wisner tells you who's trending up and who's trending down as the Mariners begin a late August home set.
Home Run Trifecta Powers Mariners To 7-4 Victory over Rays, Series Win
On an already spectacular night as they honored Ichiro Suzuki by retiring his number 51, our Seattle Mariners “seized the moment” with a series clinching 7-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays behind three home runs and a solid game from starting pitcher Logan Evans. With the win, the Mariners have are 8-1 since the MLB trade deadline and sit just half a game behind the Houston Astros for the top spot in the AL West.
Missed Chances Bite Mariners In 6-4 Loss To Rangers
Our Seattle Mariners weren’t able to continue positive momentum following the dramatics of a walk off win the night before, falling to the Texas Rangers as a few missed opportunities ultimately came back to bite the home team. The Mariners did well to battle back, overcoming two-run deficits on two occasions, but squandered chances late were the difference in this being a third straight win and series victory for Seattle as opposed to the reality of a frustrating defeat.
Mariners Fail To Complete Sweep Of Astros With 11-3 Loss In Finale
With an opportunity to complete a three-game weekend sweep of the AL West leading Houston Astros, our Seattle Mariners unraveled despite scoring the first three runs of the ballgame as they gave up eleven unanswered runs to lose the finale in frustrating fashion.
Mariners Can’t Come Through In The Clutch, Split Series With Royals Behind 3-2 Loss
Our Seattle Mariners split their four-game home series against the Kansas City Royals with a 3-2 loss in the finale, as starter Logan Evans performed well but didn’t get much run support and the Royals were able to come through late. Seattle had opportunities, especially in the bottom of the ninth, but couldn’t get the clutch hit yet again.
Randy Arozarena Rips Through Royals With Multi-Homer Game, Leading Mariners To 6-2 Win
Kicking off a seven-game homestand, our Seattle Mariners were powered by three homers as they secured a 6-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals. Outfielder Randy Arozarena blasted two home runs, including number 100 in his career, to help the Mariners take game one of four against the Royals.
Mariners walk off Guardians with ninth inning rally, win 4-3 to clinch series
In the second contest of a three-game weekend series, our Seattle Mariners seemed just about finished down by a run in the bottom of the ninth against one of MLB's best closers. The bottom of the Mariners batting order disagreed with that notion, putting together a late rally capped off by Jorge Polanco's walk off single. Brittany Wisner recaps a wild Saturday night win.

During the teams Sunday, April 6th, 2025 loss to the San Francisco Giants on the road, our Seattle Mariners saw Victor Robles make an outstanding catch in right field. Robles was injured making the catch, and it's unclear what his status is going into the teams next homestand.
