Seattle, WA - While the Seattle Mariners had a rough road trip at the MLB level, dealing with frustrating results and difficult injuries over the course of ten games, their minor league affiliates had a pretty solid week of June 8th through 14th. Two affiliates won their series, two others split their series, while the rookie-level clubs struggled. In addition to the on-field action, Mariners star catcher Cal Raleigh continued his rehab assignment and seems primed to return to the big league club very soon. Here’s a minor league wrap-up for affiliates of the Seattle Mariners from June 8th through 14th, 2026.

AAA Rainiers vs Albuquerque Isotopes (Colorado Rockies affiliate)

(30-39 record, 4th in the Pacific Coast League West)

Tacoma wins the series, five games to one.

After a few rough weeks for Tacoma, this was one that was absolutely needed. The Isotopes, at the end of this series, sit 2nd in the PCL East, which made these wins even more important for Tacoma. Honestly, bringing a rehabbing Cal Raleigh in to play half of the games might have been abuse, with him racking up five home runs in four games and pulling in a whopping 12 RBI. It was great to see him feeling well and ready to get back to Seattle to work with the Mariners once again.

Gabe Mosser pitched in two games this series, bookending it and adding on two wins to give himself a 4-3 record. Through 12 total innings, he allowed four hits and two walks to turn into four earned runs, but he also tallied up 14 strikeouts at the same time. Three of his four wins come from this month alone, and his ERA has been steadily ticking back down after a rough game in May, currently sitting at 4.21 (but 2.65 for the month).

This week was really a great week for Alejo Lopez, someone I don’t think I’ve really talked about much in these recaps yet. He’s up to .293/.370/.415, with nine hits and only a single strikeout last week through 24 at-bats. Drafted in 2015 by the Cincinnati Reds, this 30-year-old hasn’t gotten much of a chance in the Major League (170 total AB), but it would be fun to see him come up to fill in if we need it at some point this season.

Rainiers notes

  • Cal Raleigh wrapped up the final 2 games of his rehab assignment on Saturday and Sunday, going 2-for-2 with 2 homers, 3 RBI, 2 runs, and a walk on Saturday and logging a walk and a single on Sunday.

    • His first home run on Saturday traveled 445 ft. for the furthest home run at Cheney Stadium this season.

  • Brock Rodden recorded his 14th multi-hit outing on Saturday night in his first game back after being activated from the 7-Day Injured List.

    • He finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk.

      • His 14 multi-hit performances are the most by a Rainiers hitter this season.

  • RHP Randy Dobnak threw 6.0 innings with only 2 runs (1 ER) allowed on 1 walk and 4 hits while striking out 2 batters...marks his 4th consecutive quality start (5/27-c).

  • Victor Labrada recorded his 13th multi-hit game of the season, going 2-for-4 with a home run, RBI, and 2 runs scored on Saturday.

    • He finished the weekend batting .417 (5x12) with a home run, a double, 4 RBI, 2 runs, and a stolen base.

  • RHP Gabe Mosser earned his 5th win of the season after tossing 6.0 innings of 2-run ball (2 ER), allowing 4 hits (1 HR) and 1 walk while striking out 7 batters.

    • Has thrown back-to-back starts of 6.0 IP with 2 runs allowed and 7 strikeouts.

  • Alejo Lopez logged back-to-back multi-hit games on Saturday and Sunday, finishing the weekend with 5 hits, including a double and a homer, 3 runs, 3 RBI, and 2 stolen bases.

    • Since May 10, his nine doubles are tied for the sixth-most in the PCL, his .353 (30x85) average is the ninth-best, and his .415 OBP is the 10th-best.

      • Lopez has recorded a hit in 19 of the 25 games he has played over that span.

  • Welcome back to the Mariners organization, LHP Michael Plassmeyer. In the 4th round draft in 2018 for the org, Plassmeyer was part of the trade to the Tampa Bay Rays for Mallex Smith and Jake Fraley in November of 2018.

    • He’s bounced around from team to team and spent a handful of games between 2022 and 2023 with the Philadelphia Phillies. With the Mariners running thin on relief pitchers, I won’t be surprised if he joins the team sometime soon to offer a bit of a break to the injured and exhausted bullpen.

  • The ongoing Blake Rambusch Stolen Base Count has now shifted to Triple-A for the time being, with Rambusch making it to Tacoma for the first time this week. He’s already racked up 2, so far from topping the leaderboard, but showing that he’s already comfortable with this promotion.

AA Travelers vs NW Arkansas Naturals (Kansas City Royals affiliate)

(39-23 record, 2nd in the Texas League North)

Arkansas wins the series, four games to two.

The Travs definitely needed these wins as they’re now sitting at 2nd in TEX North, ahead of the NW Arkansas Naturals. Arkansas is only a few games back from the first-place Tulsa Drillers, so if they can really lock down and get wins next week, maybe they can take over that 1st place spot.

Lazaro Montes has been on an absolute tear, with a total of 20 homers this season (2nd in the Texas League) and 11 RBI in just this series alone (54 this season). He had a bit of a slow start, but he’s definitely heating up. Coming into June, he had a batting average of .211, but now, after 47 at-bats, he’s at .248 with a couple of weeks of the month left to go. Hopefully his bat stays hot as the team comes back home next week.

In a Saturday double-header courtesy of a Friday rain delay, Kade Anderson and Ryan Sloan put on a show. However, Anderson's luck did not continue into game two, so Sloan didn’t earn a well-deserved win either. In Sloan’s start, he went six innings, with an unearned run scoring off three hits and a walk while striking out seven of the 23 batters he faced. Brock Moore ended up with his first loss with Arkansas in that game after his two-thirds of an inning resulted in four runs that Arkansas just couldn’t come back from.

Travelers notes

  • LHP Kade Anderson was honored as the Texas League Pitcher of the Week for June 9-14 after earning his 6th win of the season in the opening game of the double header on Saturday. He pitched 6.0 scoreless innings with only 3 hits, no walks, and 6 strikeouts. His 6.2 innings in the outing mark a career high.

  • Ryan Sloan followed Anderson’s Saturday start, pitching 6.0 innings in the 2nd game of the doubleheader, allowing 1 run (0 ER) on 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7 batters.

    • Has logged 6.0 innings with no earned runs allowed in 2 of his last 3 starts (also: May 30 vs FRI).

  • Lazaro Montes logged his 20th home run of the season on Sunday...he went 4-for-10 with a homer, 2 runs, 3 RBI, a walk, and a stolen base in 3 games over the weekend.

    • His 8 home runs in June continue to lead the Minor Leagues over that span, while his season 1.027 OPS ranks 5th in Double-A (min. 200 AB) and his 30 XBH rank T-4th.

  • Charlie Pagliarini went 3-for-10 over the weekend with a homer, 3 runs, 3 RBI, and 2 walks...his 43 walks this season rank 6th most in Double-A while his 11 homers are T-9th in the Texas League.

  • Michael Arroyo logged 2 hits, including an RBI-double, and drew a walk over the weekend, recording 3 runs scored.

    • He has logged a hit in 10-of-12 games played in June.

      • His 15 hits this month rank T-9th in the Texas League over that span.

Travelers Transactions

  • June 10th: 3B Blake Rambusch assigned to Tacoma Rainiers from Arkansas Travelers

  • June 11th: Arkansas Travelers activated RHP Abdiel Mendoza from the Development List

Coming up for AA Arkansas, the team heads out to play against the Frisco RoughRiders (an affiliate of the Texas Rangers) for a six-game series.

High-A AquaSox @ Vancouver Canadians (Toronto Blue Jays affiliate)

(32-31 record, 3rd in the Northwest League)

Everett splits the series, three games to three.

After starting off the series with three straight losses, Everett’s bats finally woke up, and they were able to finish it off with a series split. The Eugene Emeralds have officially clinched the first half, so Everett needs to start looking towards the second half if they want to head back into the championships. Everett sits just over .500, so hopefully they can keep that energy through the inevitable shuffling of teammates to come.

The first half of the series was rough, but the second half really showed a strength that I know Everett has. Colton Shaw, in his start, upped his record to 4-2 after going six innings and, from two hits and two walks, allowed zero runs and struck out three batters. Reid Easterly allowed Vancouver’s only run off a single hit through his 2.0 innings.

Brandon Eike had a fantastic game five, going 4-5 with two home runs (11 on the season). Also in this game, Luke Stevenson hit an absolute bomb out of the park to clear the bases in a grand slam, his fourth homer of the season. Even Josh Caron got a homer in there (11), further tacking on to Everett’s total for the night. In fact, batters put up a whopping 18 hits versus six strikeouts in this game, earning their 10-6 win.

Felnin Celesten has been continuing to have an incredible season. Coming out of this week, his batting average sits at .316, his OPS is .906, and he has seven home runs. This week alone, he had four strikeouts and eight hits, adding six RBI to his total so far this season. He’s definitely been slowing down a bit in recent games, but he hasn’t fully fallen off and is still one of the strongest players on the team.

AquaSox notes

  • Jonny Farmelo extended his hit streak to a team-leading 7 games with 1+ hits in all 3 games played over the weekend.

    • Logged his 17th multi-hit game on Friday, knocking a triple, a home run, a walk, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored in the process.

      • Has recorded a hit in 10-of-12 games in June.

        • His 39 total bases in June rank 2nd most in High-A over that span, while his .483 OBP ranks 9th best (min. 40 AB).

  • Colton Shaw pitched 6.0 scoreless innings, allowing only 2 hits, 2 walks, and striking out 3 batters.

    • Marks his 3rd scoreless outing over 6.0+ IP and his fourth with 6.0+ IP and 1-or-fewer runs allowed.

  • Luke Stevenson reached base 3 times in back-to-back games on Saturday and Sunday.

    • Went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and a walk on Saturday, following up the performance with a 3-walk day on Sunday.

      • Marks his 6th outing with 3+ walks.

        • His .418 season OBP ranks 2nd best in the NWL (min. 100 PA), trailing behind Celesten’s .420 OBP.

  • Righty reliever Christian Little earned his 4th save of the season after closing out Sunday’s game with 1.0 inning of scoreless relief, allowing only 1 base runner on a walk.

    • Has logged back-to-back outings with 1.0+ IP, no runs, and no hits allowed.

      • Owns a 1.44 ERA (4 ER, 25.0 IP) with a 0.80 WHIP and 32 strikeouts over 18 appearances this season.

  • Felnin Celesten logged 1+ hits in all 3 games played over the weekend with 2 multi-hit games.

    • Recorded an extra-base hit in all 3 games, a double on Saturday, and a home run on both Friday and Sunday.

      • Owns a 5-game hit streak (6/10-c), batting .364 (8x22) with a double, 2 homers, 5 runs, 5 RBI, and 2 stolen bases over the stretch.

AquaSox Transactions

  • June 9th: Everett AquaSox transferred RHP Gabriel Sosa to the Development List

  • June 13th: LHP Caleb Franzen assigned to ACL Mariners from Everett AquaSox

Coming up for High-A Everett, the team comes home to take on the Hillsboro Hops (an affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks) for a six-game series.

Single-A 66ers vs Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Los Angeles Angels affiliate)

(28-35 record, 4th in the California League South)

Inland Empire splits the series, three games to three.

Inland Empire still, unfortunately, sits last in the California League South, eight games back from Lake Elsinore Storm. With Single-A being such a strong team in the Mariners org in the past, it’s tough to see them struggling so much, but the team has definitely changed a lot in both staff and players. There are some strong players in the rookie league that might be ready to join the team in the second half of the season and in 2027, so I believe they’ll find their footing again after this rocky season.

Mason Peters continues to shine after his start in game four, going five innings and only allowing two hits but striking out six, holding his ERA at 1.41. He unfortunately didn’t get his win in that game with Inland Empire walking it off in the ninth inning, but he was still more than impressive. Peters has allowed seven earned runs off of 29 hits (two home runs) and eight walks through eleven games, and he’s struck out a total of 63 batters. I am definitely excited to see him grow within the organization.

Estevan Moreno had a fantastic series, going 9-for-18 with 6 K. He ended last week with a slash of .212/.299/.389, and came out of this week with .252/.333/.450, which is better than his line for the month of May. He went 2-3 with a walk, no strikeouts, and his fourth homer to start things off against Rancho Cucamonga. Moreno has some tough competition within the team to shine with, with both Ricardo Cova and Cesar Feliz always seeming to lead the charge, but I definitely think he’s starting to come into his own and deserves to be included in the same conversations.

66ers notes

  • The 66ers will travel to Fresno next for a 6-game road trip, starting Tuesday...RHP Sean Hermann (2-1, 4.35) will take the mound.

  • LHP Mason Peters made his 11th start of the season on Friday, tossing 5.0 scoreless innings with 2 hits allowed, no walks, and 6 strikeouts.

    • Across 11 starts, he owns a 1.41 ERA (7 ER, 44.2 IP) and 0.83 WHIP with 63 strikeouts to just 8 walks allowed and has allowed 1-or-fewer earned runs in 10 of his first 11 professional starts.

  • Aiden Taurek went 3-for-8 across 2 games this weekend while recording his 5th triple of the season in Friday’s game.

    • His 5 triples and 29 XBH this season are each tied for the 4th-most in Single-A.

  • Ricardo Cova saw his 6-game hitting streak snapped on Sunday (6/6-13).

    • However, he is batting .311 (14x45) with 7 runs, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run, 6 RBI, 3 walks, and 3 stolen bases across 11 games in June.

  • Dustin Crenshaw hit his 2nd HR of the season in Saturday’s game and has recorded a hit in 7 of his last 8 games (6/5-c).

  • RHP Scott Rouse made his 3rd career start in Saturday’s game, tossing 5.0 innings with 1 run allowed (0 ER) and 4 strikeouts.

    • Across 7 appearances (3 GS) this season since signing a minor-league contract on May 8, he owns a 0.00 ERA (0 ER, 24.0 IP) and 22 strikeouts.

66ers Transactions

  • June 8th: C Sebastian De Andrade assigned to ACL Mariners from Inland Empire 66ers

  • June 8th: Inland Empire 66ers sent 1B Dalton Davis on a rehab assignment to the ACL Mariners

  • June 10th: Inland Empire 66ers activated RHP German Fajardo from the 7-day injured list

Coming up for Single-A Inland Empire, the team heads out to play against the Fresno Grizzlies (an affiliate of the Colorado Rockies) for a six-game series.

Rookie-level

ACL Mariners Wrap-Up

(17-15 record, 2nd in the ACL West)

The rookies go 2-4 in their games this week, managing to just stay above .500 after dropping four games in a row. To start the week, they had two wonderful shutout games, but then their luck seemingly ran out as they immediately went 1-13 in the June 10th game.

A rehabbing Dalton Davis has been off to a strong start, going 3-3 with 2RBI in his first game, and adding on a stolen base for good measure. He’s coming off a 60-day injured list stint with Inland Empire that started in March, and I’m excited to hopefully see him join the low-A team soon. After he had his contract purchased from the Frontier League Florence Y’alls, I’ve been pretty invested in how he is going to eventually fit in with the team.

At 19-years old, Po-Chun Lin has been off to an impressive season. Through 25.1 innings in 7 games, he’s sitting at an ERA of 3.91 with 36 strikeouts and 17 hits. In his last two starts, he had a combined 7.2 innings, 2 hits, 3 walks, and 11 strikeouts, not allowing a run to score. Once he’s allowed to start going a bit deeper into games, I’ll be curious to see if he’s able to keep this strength up.

ACL Mariners notes

  • Mariners No. 10 prospect Yorger Bautista went 3-for-10 with 3 extra-base hits over the weekend, including a home run in 2 of his last 3 games (6/12-c).

    • He leads the team with 5 home runs and 22 RBI.

  • RHP Po-Chun Lin made his 7th start of the season on Monday, tossing 4.0 innings with 2 runs (0 ER) allowed on 1 hit and 3 walks while tying his season-high with 6 strikeouts.

    • He has yet to allow an earned run in each of his last 3 starts (6/1-c, 11.2 IP) with 17 strikeouts and a 0.77 WHIP across the 3-game stretch.

  • Dalton Davis went 2-for-4 with a double in Saturday’s game.

    • He has recorded a double in 3 of his 5 games this season.

  • Diego Contreras went 3-for-6 with 2 runs, 2 doubles, an RBI, and 2 stolen bases across 2 games this weekend.

    • Across 10 games in June, he is batting 276 (8x29) with 3 doubles, 1 RBI, 4 walks, and 3 stolen bases.

  • RHP Connor Wilford, a recent Washington State graduate, made his first professional start in Saturday’s game, throwing 5.0 scoreless innings with 4 strikeouts.

    • The Mariners signed Wilford from the Lexington Legends of the Atlantic League.

DSL Mariners Wrap-Up

(5-5 record, 4th in the DSL Southwest)

The DSL Mariners team only won a single game through six last week, but there were still highlights to mention to these young guys. Every game was within striking distance of going in their favor, with only a 5-7 loss being more than a single run difference. They took the June 11th game into the 10th inning before finally getting ahead and winning 14-13.

Gregory Pio has been off to a hot start, which, at age 17, is so much fun to witness. He got his first home run with the organization in the June 13th game, where he went 2-4 with 2 runs and 2 RBI. Coming out of this week, his AVG sits at .429 after 35 at-bats this month. Along with Fabian Gonzalez and Juan Rijo, the team is definitely building up some very interesting players that I hope to see come up through the organization as they grow.

DSL Mariners notes

  • Fabian Gonzalez went 5-for-10 with 4 RBI over 3 games this weekend and recorded a career-high 3 stolen bases in Monday’s game.

    • Across his first 10 career games, he is batting .500 (13x26) with 11 runs, 4 doubles, 12 RBI, and 6 stolen bases.

  • 17-year-old Gregory Pio continues his great start to the season, hitting his first career home run on Saturday.

    • Across his first 11 career games, he is batting .436 (17x39) with 11 runs, 6 doubles, 3 triples, 1 home run, 9 RBI, 8 walks, and 5 stolen bases
