Mariners Minor League Weekly Wrap Up: April 21st-26th, 2026
By Berlin Kofoed
Seattle, WA - The week of April 21st through 26th saw the Seattle Mariners minor league affiliates go undefeated, with three series victories and a series split. The Rainiers, Travelers, and AquaSox all earned series wins over their respective opponents, while the 66ers battled to a series split. Hitters like Jhonny Pereda, Charlie Pagliarini, and Carlos Jimenez all had hot weeks, and Bryce Miller made another rehab assignment appearance over the course of the last seven days. Here’s our Mariners minor league weekly wrap-up for the week of April 21st through 26th, 2026.
AAA Rainiers @ Oklahoma City Comets (Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate)
Rainiers win the series, four games to two
It was a rough start to the series for Tacoma, but they were quick to pick themselves up and take the final four games from Oklahoma City. Whenever it comes to facing off against a Dodgers affiliate, I can’t help but be a little stressed given how the actual Dodgers play, so it was so exciting taking the Comets down like this. Former Mariner Ryder Ryan took the win in game one for Oklahoma City, so I can’t be too heartbroken. But I wish Tacoma had been able to fight back enough to keep Casey Lawrence from taking another loss.
Houston Roth earned two saves this series, and he’s only allowed a single run off a solo home run through 11.1 innings pitched so far. He’s sitting at a very impressive 0.79 ERA, and is becoming a bit of a silent killer when push comes to shove in later innings.
After a handful of days off to rest his wrist without fully going onto the injured list, Colt Emerson made his return to the team on April 24th, but that game was a bit rough for him. The next day, though, he was right back in form, going 2-5 with his third home run of the season.
Game six of the series for Tacoma, despite winning, is a rough one to go over. The team struck out 13 times through 40 AB, with Colin Davis, who has been having a very strong season when he’s playing, striking out four times himself. He did, however, become the leading run to score in the top of the 10th inning when a Jakson Reetz double drove him home, so at least he had speed on his side to help secure that victory.
Rainiers notes
As of April 26th, the Rainiers sit 3rd in the Pacific Coast League West, a game behind the Las Vegas Aviators and Sacramento River Cats.
The Rainiers snapped a 3-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Oklahoma City Comets on Thursday afternoon.
Ryan Bliss logged his fourth multi-hit game of the season Thursday...went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and the 74th stolen base of his Rainiers career, one shy of tying Ian Miller for the fifth-most in Rainiers franchise history.
Right-hander Randy Dobnak earned his 2nd win of the season after throwing 5.0 innings of 1-run ball (1 ER), allowing only 3 walks and 2 hits while striking out 4 batters.
The Rainiers bullpen (Josh Simpson, Yosver Zulueta, Gunner Mayer, Houston Roth) combined for 4.0 innings of scoreless relief with 1 walk, 1 hit, and 6 strikeouts.
Simpson tossed his sixth-straight hitless appearance, tied for the second-longest streak in the PCL… struck out the side in a perfect sixth inning in relief.
Jhonny Pereda recorded his seventh multi-hit game of the season, tied for the most by a PCL catcher in 2026…he finished 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored...has scored a run in 5 consecutive games.
Colin Davis recorded his 2nd multi-hit outing in 5 games played this season...drove in 2 of the Rainiers’ 3 runs.

Coming up for AAA Tacoma, the Rainiers will take on the Las Vegas Aviators (affiliate of the Athletics) at home for a six-game series.
AA Travelers vs Corpus Christi Hooks (Houston Astros affiliate)
Travelers win the series, five games to one
Looking over this series, I’m thrilled that Arkansas was able to be so dominating, especially when you take note of how high their strikeout rate was. In their only game lost, they had 31 ABs and struck out an embarrassing 16 times, drawing only four walks and managing a single run from a solo Hunter Fitz-Gerald home run (Second of the season). By comparison, Corpus Christi had ten strikeouts, six walks, and put up seven runs.
Nico Tellache had a fantastic six innings in game three, only allowing three hits and two walks to result in no runs for Corpus Christi, while striking out five batters and earning his first season win. Jason Ruffcorn and Reid VanScoter were right behind with nearly perfect innings to help keep Tellache’s 0-run tally intact, with Nick Davila getting his first save after fully blanking the Hooks, getting a strikeout of his own.
I was so sad during game four that rain suspended it partway through the fifth inning, because Kade Anderson was once again absolutely cruising, and he was almost certainly going to be getting another win. Instead, he went four and two-thirds innings, where he struck out eight batters while only allowing a hit and an unfortunate HBP before things wrapped up with the game tied 0-0. Jimmy Kingsbury, instead, came in the next day for the win, only allowing a hit and getting three strikeouts through his two and a third innings.
Charlie Beilenson has been outstanding so far this season. He got his second save in that rain-delayed game, and he’s still holding a 0.00 ERA. Through his ten and a third total innings through six games this season, he’s struck out 16 batters, allowed only a single walk, and five total hits. It’s going to be fun to keep watching him through the season and see if he’s able to hold onto this strength in his third season.
Travelers notes
As of April 26th, the Travelers sit fourth in the Texas League North, four games behind the Tulsa Drillers for the top spot in the division.
Southpaw Nico Tellache allowed 0 runs on 2 walks and 3 hits, while striking out 5 batters over 6.0 innings pitched in last night’s outing...marked his 2nd consecutive scoreless outing over 5.0+ IP.
Charlie Pagliarini extended his hit streak to 5 games with a single in his 1st at-bat...he owns a .333 avg and a .444 OBP over the 5 game stretch.
Michael Arroyo knocked his 4th double of the season to extend his 8-game on-base streak (4/16-c).
Lefty reliever Reid Van Scoter threw 1.0 inning of relief, striking out the side after allowing the first batter he faced to reach on a walk...he has thrown 11 strikeouts over 6.0 innings pitched this season.
Nick Raposo recorded a 2 RBI single on Thursday night...his 11 hits on the season are tied for the lead among catchers in the Texas League, while his 16 total bases rank 3rd.
Bill Knight went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base... he has stolen 3 bases over his last 2 games.
Travelers Transactions
April 24th: RHP Ty Cummings assigned to Arkansas Travelers (acquired in trade for RHP Casey Legumina) (activated April 26th)
April 26th: Arkansas Travelers transferred RHP Jason Ruffcorn to the Development List
Coming up for AA Arkansas, the Travelers head to Kansas to face the Wichita Wind Surge (affiliate of the Minnesota Twins) for a six-game series.
High-A AquaSox vs Spoke Indians (Colorado Rockies affiliate)
Everett wins the series, four games to two
This series started off so strong, with win after win adding to the Frogs’ win streak, but then Everett's strikeouts started to tick up. In game one, they only recorded four strikeouts and managed seven walks, winning 5-2. By game four, despite winning 2-1 partially courtesy of a Josh Caron solo homer (Third of the season), they had 13 strikeouts through 27 ABs. They continued with 14 strikeouts in game five with their first series loss, and another 15 in game six, where they took a loss after extra innings. The plate discipline still varies wildly, which is, of course, to be expected from this level, but I hope to see some consistency start to show as the team finds their identity.
To start the series off was Taylor Dollard, who I’ve genuinely been enjoying watching as he came back from injury last season and has been working himself back to where he had been before being sidelined. Through his five innings, he racked up seven strikeouts, allowing only two hits and a walk with no runs. He didn’t get the win, however, because the runs from Everett didn’t start coming in until later innings. Instead, Wyatt Lunsford-Shenkman got his first win after only allowing a walk and putting up two strikeouts in his one inning pitched.
Bryce Miller had an incredible second rehab start, this time with Everett, as the Mariners look to keep him in the local affiliates to monitor his progress. He went a full three innings, where he threw 47 pitches (35 of which were strikes), only allowed a hit and a walk near the end of his outing, and earned himself six strikeouts. He definitely started off as the Miller we all know, but that’s still tapering off just a bit the longer he goes at the moment. I’m not too worried about him working his way back to the Mariners, especially if his progress and velo continues to stay this strong.
AquaSox notes
As of April 26th, the AquaSox sit third in the Northwest League, five games behind the Eugene Emeralds for the first-place spot in the division.
Felnin Celesten was named the MiLB Northwest League Player of the Week. His current line: 5 G, .471 AVG, 8 H, 2 RBI, .571 OBP, .647 SLG.
Mariners No. 7 prospect Felnin Celesten went 3-for-5 with 3 runs scored while hitting his 1st double of the season...his first 3-hit game of the season after recording eight 3-hit games last season.
The AquaSox had a 6-game win streak broken on April 25 with their 2-6 loss.
Carlos Jimenez finished with a career-high 6 RBI, recording a 3-RBI double in the 1st innings and later hitting a 2-run home run in the 5th inning and drawing a bases-loaded walk.
Mariners No. 8 prospect Luke Stevenson reached base safely 3 times, going 2-for-4 with a double, his 6th of the season...he also drew a walk and has recorded a walk in 9 of his 13 games this season (13 walks total).
Across 35 career minor league games (22 G w/ MOD, 13 G w/ EVE), he is batting .303 (36x119) with 27 runs, 10 doubles, 1 triple, 2 HR, 21 RBI, and 36 walks, reaching base at a .468 clip while slugging .454 (.922 OPS).
Jacob Denner made his 3rd start of the season, throwing 6 strikeouts across 3.0 innings pitched...he allowed 3 runs (3 ER) on 4 hits and 2 walks.
Ryan Easterly earned his 2nd win of the year, throwing 6 strikeouts across 3.0 scoreless IP with just 1 hit allowed
AquaSox Transactions
April 24th: Seattle Mariners sent RHP Bryce Miller on a rehab assignment to Everett AquaSox
Coming up for High-A Everett, the AquaSox head south to take on the Tri-City Dust Devils (affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels) for a six-game series.
Single-A 66ers vs Stockton Ports (Athletics affiliate)
66ers and Ports split the six-game series
The series started off strong with a 7-5 win against Stockton, but as their season has been all year so far, it was a bit up and down, but I’ll happily take a series split in the end. This is a team that is very much still trying to figure out who they are and how best to play together, and is also just young. They had a lot of home runs throughout this series, which was a lot of fun to see, but they also had a lot of low-hit, high-strikeout games that just made the homers almost pointless.
In game three, Stockton put up a shocking 15 strikeouts, with Jose Romero and Ray Cebulski earning 11 of those for themselves (Five strikeouts and six strikeouts, respectively) through their six combined innings, but they also racked up 17 hits that turned into 11 runs, putting Inland Empire’s five hits and two runs to shame. Korbyn Dickerson had a strong game, not striking out a single time while going 2-4 with a solo home run (Second of the season) to give Inland Empire a little bit of support.
Danny Macchiarola only made it through three innings, but he’s finally settling down and getting stronger on the mound, putting himself up to snuff with the other pitchers drafted in 2025. He struck out five, allowed four walks, and allowed only a single hit, which turned into two unearned runs, lowering his ERA from 8.71 to 6.75 after the April 18th game. Bolstering game five was a massive grand slam from Aiden Taurek, his second homer of the season, giving the team a massive lead heading towards their eventual 10-5 victory.
66ers notes
As of April 26th, the 66ers sit seventh in the California League, 6.5 games behind San Jose for the top spot in the division.
Mariners 2025 draft pick Korbyn Dickerson went 2-for-4 with a home run, his 2nd of the season...also extended a 5-game hitting streak (4/17-c) across which he is batting .421 (8x19) with 3 runs, 1 double, 1 HR, 1 RBI and 4 walks.
Ricardo Cova hit a triple in the 1st inning, his 2nd of the season...he is batting .315 (23x73) with 12 runs and 6 extra-base hits across 17 games this season.
The pitching staff (Jose Romero, Ray Cebulski, Reese Lumpkin, Jean Munoz) combined for 15 strikeouts, including a career-high 6 strikeouts across 2.2 innings of work from Cebulski.
66ers Transactions
April 21st: Inland Empire 66ers placed RHP Gage Boehm on the full-season injured list
April 24th: SS Estevan Moreno assigned to the Inland Empire 66ers from the ACL Mariners
April 24th: Inland Empire 66ers placed 2B Brady O’Brien on the 7-day injured list
Coming up for Single-A Inland Empire, the 66ers travel to face off against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels) for a six-game series.
