In the first Seattle Kraken weekly affiliate report, we take a look at the hot start of the teams ECHL affiliate Kansas City Mavericks and the tough start plus bounce back effort of the AHL affiliate Coachella Valley Firebirds. Both affiliates, and the NHL side, are looking to repeat last season and reach the playoffs this year.
Kraken forward Andre Burakovsky to miss 6-8 weeks with an upper body injury
The Seattle Kraken will lose another forward with a long-term injury, as Andre Burakovsky will miss approximately 6-8 weeks with what is being called an "upper body injury." The Kraken will be without a player that was their leading point scorer last season before he suffered a groin injury that ended his campaign immediately after the all-star break.
Light malfunction an omen for dysfunctional Kraken play in loss to Rangers
The Seattle Kraken fell to the New York Rangers, closing out a three-game homestand for Seattle.
