Not so sweet end to a magical season: Firebirds fall to Bears in overtime game seven of Calder Cup Finals
A game seven overtime loss was what it took to decide the 2023 Calder Cup champion, as the historic Hershey Bears added another trophy to their stocked case against the upstart Coachella Valley Firebirds. Coachella Valley had a two goal lead in the second period, before that same frame saw Hershey equalize, and the Firebirds were never able to get their lead back.

Although there wasn’t balance, per say, on the offensive end for Seattle, the Mariners got runs across when they needed to and now head out on a big road trip.
Steelheads’ ‘Sox’ knocked off in the final stretch; fall 4-3 to Chicago in extras
As the team celebrated their Salute to the Negro Leagues, the Seattle Steelheads fell to the Chicago White Sox in game two of their series, sending this to tomorrow’s rubber match. Seattle was unable to take the win in extra innings, failing to get the tying run across to keep the game going.
