On the night that team captain Mark Giordano was honored for playing in his 1,000 career NHL game, the Seattle Kraken saw a quick start fizzle out lightning-quick in a loss to Tampa Bay. Seattle got on the board just three minutes into the game, but giving up six power plays to the Lightning ultimately doomed the Kraken.
Seattle sends fans home happy on “Kraken Day” with 4-3 win over Predators
On the day that the city of Seattle officially declared as “Kraken day,” the cities NHL franchise was able to snap it’s seven game losing streak with a tight victory against the Nashville Predators. While the Kraken had their characteristic defensive issues remain present, Seattle was able to overcome them to secure a victory in their first game of the month of March.
Kraken lose OT heartbreaker to Bruins
To end their home schedule in the month of February in their inaugural season, the Seattle Kraken suffered an absolute heartbreaker of a loss, falling in overtime to a strong Boston Bruins team. The loss was a much better one in terms of the final result, but Seattle remains a sloppy team as the Kraken oft bailed out the Bruins with several penalties committed.
Kraken dominated by Islanders in 5-2 loss
The Seattle Kraken continued their struggles of their debut season, having lost their 8th of 9 games in the month of February. This time, coming to the visiting New York Islanders.
