Mariners take series against Cardinals with 5-4 win in game two
Again, the Seattle Mariners scored five runs against the St. Louis Cardinals, and once again it was enough to secure victory against their interleague opponent. While Mariners ace Luis Castillo may have had an “off-day,” the Seattle offense was able to pick up some of the slack as Jarred Kelenic and Teoscar Hernandez homered before an Eugenio Suarez 2-RBI single gave Seattle a lead.

The Seattle Mariners snapped their three-game losing streak and took game one of their three game slate against the St. Louis Cardinals behind starting pitcher George Kirby’s solid outings and a strong showing by Teoscar Hernandez at the dish.
