Kraken go Duck hunting, magic number drops to 9 with win and Nashville loss
Returning home from a four-game road trip, the Seattle Kraken were able to use two-goal periods in the 1st and 3rd to defeat the scrappy division rival Anaheim Ducks by a score of 4-1. Seattle’s magic number drops to 9 thanks to their win and a Nashville Predators loss.

Kraken handle business, inch closer to playoff berth with 4-1 victory over Ducks
The Seattle Kraken picked up two valuable points against the Anaheim Ducks in essentially a must win, as the Kraken played a far inferior Ducks team with nothing to accomplish while Seattle inches closer and closer to their first Stanley Cup playoff berth in franchise history.

The Seattle Kraken saw their five game winning streak end Thursday, as the visiting Ottawa Senators were able to take advantage of Seattle’s suspect defense within the first ten minutes. The Kraken were able to battle back, but not finish as Ottawa scored the go-ahead goal in the final minutes.

The Seattle Kraken returned home to Climate Pledge Arena, hosting their divisional rivals the Anaheim Ducks. Seattle was able to handle the result relatively calmly, but tempers between the Pacific Division rivals flared in the third period and ultimately resulted in Vince Dunn leaving the game due to concussion protocol.

Considering Seattle’s current professional sports success (5 of 8 teams having made the playoffs in 2022-23 at the time of this being published), there is a great amount of youth on the teams. That youth should help the team continue it’s success for years, and hopefully decades, to come.

In their final game before the All-Star break, the Seattle Kraken were able to handily dismantle the Columbus Blue Jackets. Resulting in a 3-1 score, Seattle hardly ever had resistance to manage as the Kraken got scoring contributions from Morgan Geekie, Alex Wennberg, and Eeli Tolvanen while Philipp Grubauer was again solid in net.

In their second to last game before the All-Star break, the Seattle Kraken looked like the ones who were gassed as they fall by a three goal margin to a Calgary Flames team that was on the second game of a back-to-back

Kraken catch their “white whale,” obliterating Canucks 6-1
For the first time in their existence, the Seattle Kraken were finally able to best the Vancouver Canucks, annihilating their neighbors to the North by a score of 6-1. Five Kraken skaters scored a goal and ten of them recorded a point in the historic victory.

Eeli Tolvanen continues to navigate pacific waters as the newest addition to the NHL’s youngest franchise
Eeli Tolvanen has struggled in his somewhat young hockey career to be put in a position for success. Since being claimed off of waivers by the Seattle Kraken, the Finnish forward seems to be establishing himself and his signature heavy shot.

Kraken Super Skills Showcase year two; Team Driedger takes home the victory in another successful event
In the second annual Seattle Kraken Super Skills Showcase, Seattle’s NHL team gave a great crowd inside of Climate Pledge Arena a show as they competed in several fun filled events. Fans, whether they were witnessing the team for the first time or not, got to see a laid back side of the Kraken.

Kraken unable to fully summit against Avalanche, falling in overtime shootout
A playoff-like atmosphere filled Climate Pledge Arena as the Seattle Kraken played host to the defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche. Colorado and Seattle battled hard, trading near miss opportunity through three periods and overtime, but the Kraken ultimately succumbed to the Avalanche in a shootout.

In another battle with one of the NHL’s top teams, the Seattle Kraken yet again came out victorious as the New Jersey Devils entered the deep for a battle of the cryptids. Kraken forward Ryan Donato lead the way with two goals, before Andre Burakovsky nailed the game winner in overtime.

Kraken win streak fizzles out in loss to Lightning
In their first game home since New Years Day, the Seattle Kraken saw their eight-game winning streak end at the hands of the mighty Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa Bay was able to take advantage of two errors by the Kraken, while Seattle looked burnt out offensively.
