Top Kraken Takeaways From Seattle’s Home Win Over Florida, March 15th, 2026

By Miracle Lucketti

Seattle, WA - Climate Pledge Arena was rocking early Sunday evening and stayed loud all night. The Kraken wrapped up the second half of a back-to-back, facing the Florida Panthers and securing a much-needed two points. Here are three takeaways from Seattle’s weekend sweep.

Kraken Undefeated in the Bobby McMann Era

I think I speak for most Kraken fans when I say Bobby McMann was worth the wait. Visa issues delayed his transfer to Seattle, but once he was able to play, McMann has made a great first impression. After his road debut in Vancouver, where he scored twice and tallied a three-point night, Bobby followed that up by scoring again in his Climate Pledge Arena debut - he even threw in an assist for fun. That brings his two-game Kraken tenor total to three goals, five points, a +2 rating, and eight shots on goal. He also became the first Kraken player to record multiple points in his first two games with the team. Not too shabby!

“Bobby’s [McMann] been awesome,” Ryan Winterton said. “He’s fast, will shoot the puck - kinda just what we needed.” Head coach Lane Lambert seemed to agree, stating, “He came in, and he injected some life into us.” And, boy, did that injection come at a perfect time - the Western Conference Wildcard race is hotter than ever. The Kraken need all the "life" and goal scoring they can get.

Third & Fourth Lines Making It Look Easy

It’s no secret that the fourth line has been one of Seattle’s best lines this season. Coach Lambert has even gone so far as to say that the top lines need to start playing more like the fourth line. So, of course, they would make their presence known in Sunday's game. Ben Meyers opened the scoring, and later, Winterton netted his own goal. They had solid looks and were making great plays all night.

The third line, however, wasn’t going to let the fourth have all the glory. Kaapo Kaako made several clutch plays, scored a goal of his own, and helped Berkly Catton bank his goal Sunday, as well. It was a three-point night for Kakko, and Lambert once again sang his praises, saying Kakko has “shown a lot more confidence. He’s owning pucks, doing things down low. He’s been really, really good, and it’s good to see those guys get rewarded tonight.”

Happy Coach, Happy Team

That’s definitely how that adage goes, right? Either way, Lambert smiled twice in his post-game presser. That’s more than we’ve seen him smile all season combined, probably. Maybe.

Lambert definitely seemed pleased, though, and it was nice to head into a locker room and post-game media session where things were a bit less somber. The vibes are high, as they should be, when sweeping a back-to-back and jumping back into a Wildcard spot in the Western Conference. Plus, who doesn’t like winning?

“Winning is fun,” Winterton told us, grinning. “So long as we’re winning, I think the boys are having a good time. Just keep that going and stay in the playoff race.” Sounds good to me, man. Just keep winning!

What’s Next
