Seattle Reign FC Defeat Cascadia Rivals Portland Thorns, 1-0
Our Seattle Reign FC returned to the win column, and got early season bragging rights over their Pacific Northwest rival, behind a 1-0 victory over the Portland Thorns at Lumen Field. Rookie forward Maddie Dahlien tallied her first professional goal, a score that proved vital. Our Becca Weinberg breaks down the victory.

Reign, with West division already clinched, battle to scoreless draw against Thorns
Things were a bit different in today’s rivalry match between the OL Reign and Portland Thorns, as neither team had much on the line to play for as the Reign had already locked up the West Division and the Thorns had virtually no chance of advancing in the tournament.

Thorn in their side: Reign fall to Thorns, 2-0, in doubleheader
In the second ever Seattle vs Portland doubleheader, the OL Reign fell to the Portland Thorns as the Reign’s attacking quality failed to beat Portland’s defense. On the other end, the Thorns found two pockets of space to score goals that the Reign couldn’t match in the end.
