Mariners drop game one against Blue Jays despite late rally attempt
Our Seattle Mariners dropped the first game of their three-game home weekend set to the Toronto Blue Jays, as Luis Castillo struggled in his start for the Mariners by allowing five runs over the first three innings of the ballgame. Seattle worked their way back ever so slightly, but wasted a golden opportunity late to ultimately fall in game one.
The Man: Teoscar Hernandez comes up clutch again as Mariners take their game of the year candidate over Blue Jays
The Seattle Mariners secured a series win over the Toronto Blue Jays, winning their ninth of the last ten games over their neighbors to the North at T-Mobile Park. A home run derby of sorts broke out, there was an ejection, Teoscar Hernandez continues to terrorize Toronto, and the Mariners got a crucial victory.

Walkoff (Teoscar’s version): Mariners beat Blue Jays in back-and-forth thriller
Teoscar Hernandez’s walk off base hit in the bottom of the ninth gave the Seattle Mariners a game one victory over Hernandez’s former team, the Toronto Blue Jays. Strong pitching on both sides had this game in a tight battle, but ultimately the Mariners prevailed in a big win.
