Offense Goes Quiet As Mariners fall 2-1 To The Athletics In Extra Innings
Following the dramatics of last night's Seattle Mariners win over the Athletics to begin a three-game weekend series, a putrid performance from the Mariners lineup resulted in a loss to the A's to force a Sunday matinee rubber match tomorrow. George Kirby delivered six strong innings and Randy Arozarena's solo shot tied it, but ultimately Seattle didn't do enough to ensure victory.

On an already spectacular night as they honored Ichiro Suzuki by retiring his number 51, our Seattle Mariners “seized the moment” with a series clinching 7-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays behind three home runs and a solid game from starting pitcher Logan Evans. With the win, the Mariners have are 8-1 since the MLB trade deadline and sit just half a game behind the Houston Astros for the top spot in the AL West.

Our Seattle Mariners weren’t able to continue positive momentum following the dramatics of a walk off win the night before, falling to the Texas Rangers as a few missed opportunities ultimately came back to bite the home team. Our Tacoma Rainiers snapped a four-game losing skid and delighted the home fans at Cheney Stadium with a 10-3 victory over the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, evening the six-game series at home at a game a piece. It was a complete game for Tacoma, who struck out 15 batters while scoring the ten runs.

Padres’ Prospects Outslug Mariners’ Prospects, 13-10 in Inaugural Spring Breakout Game
In the first ever Spring Breakout game for both our Seattle Mariners and the San Diego Padres, it was the Padres' prospects who were able to outslug the Mariners in an offensive display between the two teams. With the young futures of each team showing out after this game was postponed from last week, both offenses put on a hitting clinic.
Frogs strike back: AquaSox wallop Canadians 10-0 to tie series
In game two of the Northwest League Championship series, the Everett AquaSox romped to a 10- win over the Vancouver Canadians to even the series at a game each. A burst of offense came in the early part of the game for Everett, allowing the AquaSox to cruise for the rest of the night.
