Mariners Minor League Weekly Wrap Up: June 15th-21st, 2026
By Berlin Kofoed
Seattle, WA - The week of June 15th through 21st, 2026, for the minor league affiliates of the Seattle Mariners wasn’t a great one in terms of results, as three teams lost their respective series, and the only other result was a split. The positivity, results-wise, for Mariners minor league teams came from their two youngest teams, the Arizona Complex League and Dominican Summer League teams, who both had successful weeks. From the results on the diamond to multiple roster moves and more weekly honors for some of the top prospects, here’s a Mariners minor league weekly wrap-up as we approach the end of the month of June.
AAA Rainiers @ Salt Lake Bees (Los Angeles affiliate)
First Half: 33-42, Second Half: 0-0, Overall: 33-42 (4th in PCL West)
Tacoma splits the series, three games to three.
Another sort of rough week for the Rainiers, but it’s great to see them not take a loss this time around. In addition to splitting the series, their three wins were very strong: a 12-6 win in ten innings for game two, an 8-0 win in game three, and a 7-1 win to finish things off in game six. Weston Wilson had his start with the team and immediately started racking up the hits. In his first appearance, he went 3-4 with 2 runs, 1 RBI, 1 walk, and no strikeouts. The next game, he went 3-5 with another 3 RBI to quickly land his batting average at a strong .667, so it was no surprise when the injury-riddled Mariners called him up on June 19th to join the squad.
All week, the Rainiers stayed in the single digits for strikeouts until game six. Despite taking the victory after putting up four runs in the top of the 7th, the team struck out 12 times, only managing to work the count to three total walks and getting ten hits. It was fortunate that the pitching and defense held Salt Lake to six hits and a lone run, so the high strikeouts didn’t fully come back to bite them in the butt, but it's still a worrisome number to see.
Rainiers notes
On the 17th, the organization said goodbye to RHP Randy Dobnak as he was traded to the Kansas City Royals organization for cash after Dobnak triggered the upward mobility clause in his minor league deal.
With no room on the 40-man roster for Dobnak, the Mariners had to offer him up to the other teams to possibly give him a roster spot.
The Tacoma Rainiers secured a series split against the Salt Lake Bees, finishing the first half of the season 33-42.
They will begin the second half of the season with a 6-game homestand against the Round Rock Express, starting Tuesday.
Ryan Bliss went 5-for-12 with a double, home run, 4 runs, and 3 RBI over the weekend, extending his 7-game hitting streak (6/5-c).
Across the 6-game series against Salt Lake, he hit .458 (11x24) with 11 runs, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run, 6 RBI, 2 walks, and 4 stolen bases, reaching base at a .448 clip while slugging .833 (1.281 OPS).
Brock Rodden, who was reinstated from the 7-day IL on June 13, hit .375 (6x16) with 4 runs, 2 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs, 3 RBI, 2 walks, and a stolen base for a .444 on-base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage (1.444 OPS) across 4 games played against Salt Lake.
Patrick Wisdom hit .353 (6x17) with 4 runs, 2 doubles, 2 HR, and 5 RBI for a 1.245 OPS across 4 games played against the Bees.
He has recorded an XBH in 6 straight games (5/15-c) and has hit 14 home runs with a 1.190 OPS across 27 Triple-A games this season.
In Sunday’s series finale, Jhonathan Díaz allowed 1 run over 6.0 innings with 7 strikeouts and recorded his 5th win of the season.
It marked his 2nd quality start of the season and the team’s 23rd of the year, which leads all minor league clubs.
RHP Domingo Gonzalez threw 2.0 scoreless innings in Sunday’s win, marking his 6th consecutive scoreless app

Coming up for AAA Tacoma, the team comes home to take on the Round Rock Express (an affiliate of the Texas Rangers) for a six-game series.
AA Travelers @ Frisco RoughRiders (Texas Rangers affiliate)
First Half: 41-28, Second Half: 0-0, Overall: 41-28 (2nd in TEX North)
Arkansas loses the series, two games to four.
On June 17th, the Travelers finished up an earlier series after the May 28th game was delayed. After taking a win in their first game of the day for the current series (9-4 with Ryan Hawks earning his fourth win), Arkansas lost the makeup game, ultimately losing that series 2-4.
Michael Morales started the series off strong, after only allowing two hits and no walks through his six innings on the mound, but with a back-and-forth for a lead going into 12 innings, Arkansas couldn’t give him a win. Instead, Brock Moore ultimately took a loss (1-2) after two runs scored during his one and one-third innings, allowing Frisco to walk things off.
After adding on one more, Lazaro Montes continues to creep up the rankings for homers (21), just four behind Manuel Pena from the Amarillo Sod Poodles (who has been promoted to the Reno Aces). While Montes had a relatively slow week, he still sits at .231 and a little bit of a slowdown isn’t too surprising from a player still so young.
Arkansas rounded off the first half in second place in the Texas League South, five games behind the Tulsa Drillers. There’s sure to be some bit of shakeup with the lineup now heading into the second half of the season to try to clinch a championship spot, so I look forward to seeing how this team is about to change.
Travelers notes
The Arkansas Travelers dropped their series 2-4 against the Frisco Rough Riders, finishing the first half of the season with a 41-28 record, good for 2nd place in the Texas League North standings.
They will next host a 6-game homestand vs. San Antonio, kicking off Tuesday evening.
LHP Kade Anderson was named Texas League Pitcher of the Week for the 3rd consecutive week after throwing 6.0 scoreless innings with 8 strikeouts, 2 hits, and 1 walk allowed.
It marked his 5th consecutive scoreless start (5/22-c), extending his streak of consecutive shutout innings to 27.2.
Across 12 starts this season, the Mariners No. 2 prospect is 7-0 with a 1.02 ERA (7 ER, 61.2 IP), 90 strikeouts, and just 8 walks.
Among all minor league pitchers (min. 50 IP), he ranks 1st in K/BB (11.25), 1st in BB/9 (1.17), 1st in ERA (1.02), 1st in WHIP (0.65), 2nd in K% (41.1%), 4th in total strikeouts (90), and 6th in K/9 (13.14).
Anderson, Jimmy Kingsbury, and Charlie Beilenson combined for a 4-0 shutout win on Friday, marking the Trav’s 11th shutout of the season.
Beilenson (3-2, 2.18 ERA) owns a 0.85 WHIP with 40 strikeouts and 6 saves across 21 appearances out of the bullpen this season with the Travelers.
Mariners No. 3 prospect Ryan Sloan made his 12th start of the year, throwing 5.0 innings and allowing 2 runs (2 ER) on 6 hits (1 HR) with 5 strikeouts.
He is 1-2 with a 4.35 ERA (25 ER, 51.2 IP) and 63 strikeouts in his first season in Double-A.
Hunter Fitz-Gerald hit a 452 ft. home run in Sunday’s series finale, marking his 3rd home run and 6th XBH in the last 7 games (6/14-c, 1.319 OPS).
Mariners No. 4 prospect Lazaro Montes homered in Friday’s game, marking his 21st home run of the season, which is tied for 6th-most among all minor league batters

June 17th: Arkansas Travelers activated RHP Stefan Raeth from the Development List
June 17th: Arkansas Travelers activated C Connor Charping from the Development List

Coming up for AA Arkansas, the team comes home to take on the San Antonio Missions (an affiliate of the San Diego Padres) for a six-game series.
High-A AquaSox vs Hillsboro Hops (Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate)
First Half: 33-33, Second Half: 0-0, Overall: 33-33 (3rd in NWL
Everett loses the series, two games to four.
This was an incredibly rough series for the Frogs as they got knocked around nearly constantly. They lost 5-12 in game one, 4-11 in game three, and 3-11 in game four, with four total errors in that game four giving the Hops more chances than they really needed to move along the base paths.
This was really the week for Anthony Donofrio, especially with his walk-off victory in game five after sending his third homer of the season out of the park to bring both himself and Austin St. Laurent home. He put up his fourth home run the next day (solo this time), going 3-4 with 1 run and 1 RBI to end his week and driving his batting average up from .190 to .213 through 18 ABs.
I’m still patiently waiting and praying to the baseball gods for a Walter Ford win. He had a strong start this week, only allowing two earned runs off of five hits (one homer) and no walks through his six innings on the mound, but with the Frogs unable to put up many runs, Ford got his sixth loss of the season. It’s been great seeing him lock in so much, as he had a bit of a chaotic start, but the team just hasn’t been able to keep the run support going for the final game of the series.
AquaSox notes
The Everett AquaSox went 1-2 over the weekend, dropping the series 2-4 against the Hillsboro Hops.
They will next travel to Eugene for a 6-game series, starting on Tuesday.
Felnin Celesten homered in back-to-back games over the weekend and has hit 5 HR in the month of June.
Across 62 games this season, he is batting .310 (72x232) with 46 runs, 13 doubles, 1 triple, 9 HR, 39 RBI, 36 walks, and 16 stolen bases for a .409 on-base percentage, which ranks 2nd in the Northwest League.
His 72 hits are also the 2nd-most.
Jonny Farmelo hit safely in 2 of 3 games this weekend, continuing his hot streak in June.
Across 17 games in June, he is batting .313 (21x67) with 15 runs, 4 doubles, 2 triples, 6 home runs, 14 RBI, 13 walks, and 6 stolen bases for a .432 on-base percentage and .701 slugging percentage (1.133 OPS).
His 27 extra-base hits this season are tied for the 2nd-most in the NWL, while his 50 walks are 2nd-most, and his .387 OBP is 7th-best in the league.
Mariners 2025 Draft pick and No. 8 prospect Luke Stevenson extended his on-base streak to 8 games (6/11-c) over the weekend.
His 401 OBP this season is 4th-best in the Northwest League, while his 55 walks lead the league.
Josh Caron continues a strong season at the plate, hitting his 12th HR of the season over the weekend.
His 12 HR are a career-high and are tied for the most in the Northwest League, while his 27 XBH are also tied with Farmelo for 2nd-most in the NWL

June 17th: Seattle Mariners optioned CF Curtis Washington Jr to Everett AquaSox
Coming up for High-A Everett, the team heads out to take on the Eugene Emeralds (an affiliate of the San Francisco Giants) for a six-game series.
Single-A 66ers @ Fresno Grizzlies (Colorado Rockies affiliate)
First Half: 28-38, Second Half: 0-0, Overall: 28-38 (4th in CAL South)
Inland Empire loses the series, two games to four.
Despite some shining moments this week, strikeouts plagued Inland Empire, and they just couldn’t get enough going to take many wins. Despite the 1-2 loss in game six, Jack Bowery had a phenomenal start. He went six innings, allowing six hits to result in no runs, didn’t walk a single batter, and earned six of the seven total strikeouts from Fresno.
Right now, Aiden Taurek leads the league in doubles (23), with Cesar Quintas just behind him and tied for second with 20 2B himself. Taurek also isn’t too far behind, tied with several other batters for triples (five). He’s been a strong bat that sits him comfortably up near the top of the lineup every game. He walked out of this series with a .276 batting average and .825 OPS, which sits just behind Estevan Moreno and Korbyn Dickerson with the highest OPS.
In game five, Scott Rouse got his first win after going five innings, allowing three hits and a walk to turn into an unearned run, and striking out three batters. He’s pitched in eight games so far for 29.0 total innings, and has yet to allow a run, holding his ERA at a very pleasant 0.00 and a 0.76 WHIP. He’s already racked up 25 strikeouts, and I look forward to seeing how his career with the Mariners continues, as he's already showing such strong pitching prowess.
66ers notes
The Inland Empires took 2-of-3 against the Fresno Grizzlies over the weekend with a decisive 16-4 victory on Friday night to wrap the 6-game road trip with a 2-4 record.
The 66ers will return home to face the San Jose Giants starting Tuesday night at 6:35 pm PT.
Estevan Moreno earned California League Player of the Week honors for the week of June 15-21.
Batted .462 (12x26) with 3 doubles, 4 homers, 7 RBI, and 7 runs scored for a .481 OBP and a 1.519 OPS over that span.
Went 7-for-14 over the weekend with 2+ hits in all 3 games played.
Logged 2 doubles for the 3rd time this season with a walk, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored on Friday night.
Extended his hit streak to 11 games (6/9-6/21)...is tied for the 3rd longest streak in Single-A.
Aiden Taurek logged 2+ hits on both Friday and Saturday, going 3-for-6 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI, 3 runs, and a stolen base on Friday night.
Recorded a stolen base in back-to-back games (6/19-6/20) for the first time this season.
Leads Single-A in doubles (23) and ranks T-4th in XBH (32) while ranking 15th in OPS (.825) in the California League (min. 200 AB).
LHP Jack Bowery pitched 6.0 scoreless innings on Sunday, allowing 6 hits, no walks, and striking out 6 batters...his
6.0 innings of work mark a career-high.

Rookie-level
ACL Mariners Wrap-Up
(22-15, 1st in ACL West)
The baby Mariners had a fantastic week, going 5-0 and continuing to rise in the ranks. Currently, they sit second in the ACL West, half a game behind the ACL Royals. Yorger Bautista had a pretty fantastic week, with eight RBI and six runs through the five games, ending the week at a .248 batting average (up from .200 at the end of last week).
Outfielder Konni Durschlag got his start with the team this week, getting two hits through his three at-bats (and racking up six walks). He’s been off to a strong start at the plate, which I always love to see for new guys on whatever team. Signed in July 2025, Durschlag finished his season with the High Point Panthers before being assigned to the ACL Mariners in March of 2026.
ACL Mariners notes
The ACL Mariners went 2-0 over the weekend with a 3-2 victory against the ACL Angels on Friday and a 10-9 win against the ACL Dodgers on Saturday.
They will face the ACL White Sox tonight at 6:00 pm PT.
Yorger Bautista logged 2 multi-hit games over the weekend, going 2-for-4 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored on Friday and 3-for-4 with his 6th double, 2 walks, 3 RBI, and 1 run on Saturday.
Extended his team-leading on-base streak to 7 games (6/12-c), batting .429 (12x28) with 3 walks, 1 double, 1
triple, 3 homers, and 11 RBI over that span.
Nick Becker went 2-for-6 over the weekend with a hit in each of the 2 games played, logging a double, 4 walks, 3
runs, and a stolen base.
Ranks T-2nd in walks (31), T-12th in doubles (8), 3rd in runs scored (35), and 3rd in stolen bases (20) in the ACL
Jo Oyama logged a double and scored a run in Friday’s game to extend his hit streak to 6 games (5/15-c).
Is batting .438 (7x16) with 4 doubles, a triple, 4 runs scored, and a 1.313 OPS over the stretch.
DSL Mariners Wrap-Up
(9-6, 4th in DSL Southwest)
The DSL Mariners went 4-1 this last week, ending the week at fourth in the DSL Southwest. Gregory Pio has remained a steady, reliable bat, sitting at a .397 batting average and an OPS of 1.178 with eight hits and eight runs last week alone. In June 18th’s game, he went 2-5 with no strikeouts and one homerun, adding on four RBI in their 13-2 victory. This is the same game where the team had a whopping 12 walks, so it’s sort of impressive that Pio didn’t manage to get a walk of his own.
Looking over this roster, this is already showing to be a very strong DSL team. Jarvis Gomez has an OPS of 1.009, Fabian Gonzalez sits at 1.108, and Maikol Rodriguez at 1.010, and those are just the batters over 1.000. While Dawel Joseph sits at an OPS of .772, his batting average is at .281, and he’s batting high in the lineup very regularly. I don’t want to have high hopes for this team right out of the gate, since we’re only 17 games in, but I really like how things are currently looking for them.
DSL Mariners notes
The DSL Mariners logged back-to-back wins over the weekend, defeating the DSL Blue Jays Blue by a 15-5 score on Friday and earning a 4-0 shutout win against the DSL Pirates on Saturday.
The DSL Mariners face the DSL Pirates Gold at 11:00 am PT today.
Gregory Pio extended his hit streak to 10 games (6/6-c) with a single and 2 walks on Friday and 2 singles recorded on Saturday...he is batting .405 with 4 doubles, 1 triple, 2 homers, 11 RBI, 14 runs, and 7 walks for a .480 OBP and a 1.170 OPS since June 6.
Juan Rijo went 2-for-4 with a double, a run, and 2 stolen bases on Saturday...marks his first pro career game with 2+ stolen bases.
Has logged a hit in 12-of-14 games played this season for a .389 (7x18) batting average this season and a .560 OBP, ranking 16th in the DSL (min. 15 AB).
Dawel Joseph extended his on-base streak to 15 games (6/1-6/20) with a 5-walk game on Friday and 1 walk and a stolen base on Saturday.
Tied for 4th longest in the DSL.
Is 1-of-3 DSL players with a 5 walk game this season.
