Mariners Minor League Weekly Wrap Up: May 5th-10th, 2026
By Berlin Kofoed
Seattle, WA - The first full week in the month of May for minor league affiliates of the Seattle Mariners was a winning week, with every team but one that plays full series securing a victory, while the ACL Mariners had a winning week, as they don’t play series in the Arizona Complex League. Some Mariners major-league talent have wrapped up their rehab assignments and are set to rejoin the big-league club, or already have, while others will continue to put in work to find their way back. Here’s a weekly wrap-up of Mariners minor league affiliate action from May 5th through 10th, 2026.
AAA Rainiers @ El Paso Chihuahuas (San Diego Padres affiliate)
Rainiers lose the series, two games to four.
Despite a wild 17-2 win in game four, this was an overall pretty disappointing series, with Tacoma managing only two wins in some pretty close games. Unfortunately, they dealt with a couple of walkoffs in games that they were really fighting for. It’s always stressful being the visiting team, and getting walked off seems to be a bit of a theme for the Mariners minor teams so far this season.
They actually kept their strikeout rate pretty low, only going into the low double digits twice while racking up hits and adding on to their total of home runs. After being away for a bit on the IL, Patrick Wisdom returned to form, getting 2 homers in game 5 (numbers 10 and 11 for him). Brock Rodden has been adding on as well, getting a 3-run and a grand slam in game 4 (3 and 4), going 2-5 with a whopping 8 RBI.
Game two was a rough one, honestly, because Tacoma had a 6-2 lead going into the bottom of the fourth inning. Some rough pitching from Jhonathan Diaz just kept getting runners on, and after a pitching change to Nick Garcia and another home run from El Paso, they left that inning losing 6-9. Colt Emerson got them tied back up in the top of the fifth, and pushed them into the lead in the top of the eighth with a home run (His fifth of the season), but it wasn’t enough to keep El Paso from getting a go-ahead run in the bottom of the 8th inning.
I know it’s rough with the pitching in Tacoma, since they go back and forth from Seattle pretty constantly lately. It’s hard to get a pace going when the bullpen keeps changing up, but I’m hoping to start seeing some more consistency out of the pitchers that have been there throughout the season so far. Diaz has always been a bit up and down, but he seems to be really having a rough start to the season for some reason.
Rainiers notes
Tacoma went 2-1 over the weekend, including a 17-2 Friday night blowout vs. the Chihuahuas, to wrap up their 6-game series at El Paso with a 2-4 record.
Tacoma will return to their home stadium to start their 2nd series of the season against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys on Tuesday at 11:35 am PT after going 2-4 in the 1st set.
Patrick Wisdom made 2 rehab starts over the weekend.
On May 9, went 2-for-4 with 2 homers, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored.
Wisdom recorded a single on Sunday.
Victor Robles continued his rehab assignment over the weekend, recording 3 hits, including a double, with 3 walks, and 3 runs scored.
Robles has recorded a hit in 3 consecutive games, reaching base in 5 of his last 6.
Colt Emerson recorded a team-leading 6 hits over the weekend, going 6-for-14 with a homer, a walk, 6 runs scored, 3 RBI, and a stolen base.
Emerson has reached base in 7-of-9 games in May with 3 multi-hit games.
Emerson’s 20 total bases rank T9th in the PCL in May.
Brennen Davis knocked 2 doubles on Friday, his first game with 2+ doubles since 8/19/23 with the ACL Cubs.
Finished the weekend with 5 hits, including 3 doubles, 2 walks, 4 RBI, and 2 runs.
Owns a .965 OPS on the season, ranking 9th in the PCL (min 100 AB).
Mariners No. 18 prospect (MLB Pipeline) Brock Rodden recorded 2 homers for a career-high eight RBI on Friday night, tied for the most by a Triple-A hitter this season.
Recorded 1+ RBI in all 3 games this weekend with 2 hit games on Friday and Sunday.
His 30 RBI this season rank T-2nd while his 68 TB rank T-8th in the PCL.
The Rainiers now have a record of 18-21, good for 4th in the PCL West.

Coming up for AAA Tacoma, the Rainiers come home to take on the Sugar Land Space Cowboys (affiliate of the Houston Astros) for a six-game series.
AA Travelers vs Tulsa Drillers (Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate)
Travelers win the series, four games to two.
Some incredible pitching (and the defense staying locked in) really helped Arkansas win four out of six, especially in game three, when four hits and five walks by Ryan Hawks turned into zero runs. This is the same game in which the Travs struck out 15 times in 32 at-bats, with Jared Sundstrom alone going 0-for-4 with four strikeouts as the DH. Peyton Alford got another win (Now 4-2 on the season) after only allowing Tulsa to get a single hit while striking out four through an inning and two-thirds.
Brendan Donovan started his rehab assignment and showed that he was more than ready to get back with the Mariners. In his first appearance, he went 1-3 with two walks and a double, staying on base and helping to contribute to their 11-7 win in game one.
Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Kade Anderson spun an absolute gem, earning another win (Now 3-0 on the season) after going five and two-thirds innings and only allowing a single run off of a solo homer while striking out nine batters. This was his second time pitching into the sixth inning, and I’m hoping that he’ll be able to finish the sixth inning up in his next appearance. Currently, his ERA is 0.60, with 47 strikeouts in 30.0 innings, the lowest ERA in the Texas League to date. He has the second most strikeouts, with seven fewer innings than the pitcher in first, just further proving how powerful he is on the mound.
Also this week, Charlie Beilenson continued to dazzle, getting another two saves after only allowing a single run through two and two-thirds combined innings. He has five saves through five save opportunities, sitting at second in the Texas League with just one save less than first place and an ERA of 1.13 in his ten-game appearances. He’s only allowed three runs (Two earned) and eight hits. He’s started off this season so strongly, and I can’t wait to see how he’s able to keep holding onto this as the year goes on.
Travelers notes
The Travelers went 2-2 over the weekend, splitting Friday’s doubleheader to close out the week with a 4-2 series win against the Tulsa Drillers... they will begin their 6-game road trip at Northwest Arkansas on Tuesday at 9:05 am PT.
LHP Kade Anderson pitched 5.2 innings of the 7-inning game 1 of the Friday double-header...earned his 3rd win of the season after allowing only 1 run (1 ER) on 2 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 9 batters...ranks 1st in strikeouts (47) in Double-A and 1st in WHIP (0.67), and ERA (0.60) among Double-A pitchers with 5+ GS.
Blake Rambusch recorded a hit and 1+ RBI and all 3 games over this weekend, swatting his 2nd and 3rd double of the season on Friday and Saturday.
He has recorded 1+ hits in 7 of his last 9 games played.
His .313 season avg. ranks 2nd on the team among players with at least 60 AB.
Blake Rambusch continues to creep up the Stolen Base ranks, and while he’s not currently in 1st, he could be by percentage. He’s had over 40 fewer ABs than the player currently leading, and sits at just a single stolen base behind. Once he starts really racking up those plate appearances, I fully believe that he’ll take the lead and probably sit there pretty comfortably throughout the season if he doesn’t end up getting a Tacoma promotion.
Mariners No. 3 prospect (MLB Pipeline) Ryan Sloan allowed 2 runs (1 ER) on no walks and 3 hits (1 HR) with 6 strikeouts over 5.0 innings in his Saturday start.
Has recorded 2-or-fewer walks and 4+ strikeouts over 4.0+ innings in 4-of-6 starts this season.
Righty reliever Charlie Beilenson logged his 5th save of the season on Saturday after pitching 0.2 innings with 1 run (1 ER), 1 hit, 2 walks, and 1 strikeout.
His 5 saves are tied for the lead in Double-A, while his 0.75 season WHIP ranks 6th, just behind Kade Anderson (0.67), among pitchers with 16.0+ IP.
The Travelers now have a record of 19-14 and sit 2nd in the Texas North division.
Travelers Transactions
May 5th: 1B Hogan Windish assigned to Tacoma Rainiers from Arkansas Rainiers
May 5th: Seattle Mariners sent 3B Brendan Donovan on a rehab assignment to Arkansas Travelers
Coming up for AA Arkansas, the Travelers go on a short trip to play against the NW Arkansas Naturals (affiliate of the Kansas City Royals) for a six-game series.
High-A AquaSox vs Hillsboro Hops (Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate)
AquaSox win the series, five games to one.
Everett had an incredible week, but they just barely fell short of their first sweep of the season after losing 5-8 to Hillsboro. In game two, during his fourth rehab start, Bryce Miller pitched long enough to earn a win as Everett won 10-0. Miller pitched through five innings (61 pitches, 38 strikes). After a rough first rehab game, Miller has been lights out, not earning a single run. It’s great seeing how he’s come back from this injury setback, and I think I’m ready to see if he can square up against major league batters again.
The 10-0 win wasn’t even the wildest score the Frogs put up this week. In game five, they put up 15 runs on 14 hits and five walks, winning 15-1 over the Hops. Luke Stevenson (Third of the season), Felnin Celesten (Third of the season), Luis Suisbel (Second of the season), and Carlos Jimenez (Fourth of the season) all put up home runs in this game, really helping to pile on the run support for starting pitcher Evan Truitt (1-2). Truitt got the win after going five and a third innings, where, after four hits and a walk, only a solo homer would give Hillsboro a run.
Celesten’s hit streak continues, extending to 16 games after he finally managed to get a double after two walks and a hit by pitch got him on base in game six. He’s been off to an incredibly hot start this season, with a current line of .333/.435/.509. He’s already been NWL Player of the Week twice this season, and if he keeps this pace up, he’ll definitely do it again.
AquaSox notes
Everett finished the series against the Hillsboro Hops with a 5-1 record, losing only the Sunday afternoon contest.
The AquaSox will travel to Vancouver to face the Canadians, starting with Tuesday night’s game at 7:05 pm PT.
RHP Colton Shaw started off the weekend with 6.0 shutout innings on Friday night, allowing 1 hit, 1 walk, and striking out 7 batters.
Marks his 3rd start of the season with 1-or-fewer runs, 1-or-fewer walks, and 7+ strikeouts over 6.0+ innings.
Felnin Celesten extended his league-leading 16-game (4/21-c) hit streak over the weekend after a 3-hit game on Saturday and a double on Sunday.
Finished the weekend 4-for-7 with a double and a homer, 3 RBI, 3 runs, and 2 walks.
His 28 hits over that span are tied for the lead in High-A, while he leads the NWL in batting average (.467), runs (21), and total bases (42) since April 21.
Josh Caron drove in 6 RBI over the weekend on a double and 2 homers.
Has logged an extra base hit in his last 3 games and 1+ RBI in 6 of his last 8, for a team-leading 10 RBI since the start of May.
Tied for 2nd with Celesten in the NWL over the same span.
Mariners No. 29 prospect (MLB Pipeline) Lucas Kelly closed out Friday’s game with a scoreless 1.0 inning of work with 2 strikeouts.
Marks his 5th scoreless outing with 1.0+ IP in 8 appearances this season.
Owns a 16.88 K/9 this season, ranking 6th in the NWL.
The AquaSox have a record of 18-15 and sit second in the Northwest League.
AquaSox Transactions
May 6th: Seattle Mariners sent RHP Bryce Miller on a rehab assignment to Everett AquaSox
May 7th: RHP Sam Whiting assigned to Everett AquaSox (free agent signing)
Coming up for High-A Everett, the AquaSox head north to take on the Vancouver Canadians (affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays) for a six-game series.
Single-A 66ers vs Lake Elsinore Storm (San Diego Padres affiliate)
The 66ers win the series, four games to two.
I loved seeing Inland Empire take this series win, especially after some rough games so far this season as the team works to find its identity. Lake Elsinore currently sits at 2nd in the CAL South, so taking them down a bit was also incredibly important for the team going forward. The strikeouts stayed relatively low (for this team) this week, spiking at 14 in the first game but petering out to 9-10 by the end of the series, right when the hits also started to really slow down.
Sean Hermann has been off to a solid start this season, despite having a bit of a rough five innings in game one of this series. He’s still coming back after a 37-game 2025 season and a full-season-injured 2024 season, but he definitely started off with a bang with the 66ers. Through five games, he’s struck out 24 batters, allowed nine runs, and kept his ERA at 3.42, holding onto a 1-0 record so far.
In game five, Scott Rouse made his professional debut after being signed from free agency by the Mariners on May 8th, and he had a solid closeout despite the team losing. In his one inning, he completely blanked the Storm, striking out two batters. He threw 11 pitches, seven of which were recorded as strikes, and was able to face the minimum to at least keep Lake Elsinore from putting up any more runs.
As Ricardo Cova and Cesar Quintas continue to dominate, I’d like to quickly highlight Sebastian De Andrade, who spent a few games with the team this week before Connor Dykstra was reactivated from the injured list. In his short time with Inland Empire, he got three hits, two runs, and only struck out twice through 11 total at-bats, really starting to hint at the power he has at only 20 years old. He’ll be heading back to the ACL Mariners for the time being with Dykstra back, but I definitely expect him to rejoin the 66ers as soon as there is room for him.
66ers notes
The 66ers finished the weekend going 2-1 against Lake Elsinore, earning the series win over the Storm with a 4-2 record.
The team will start their 6-game away series vs. Stockton at 11:00 am PT on Tuesday.
Aiden Taurek reached base in all 3 games this weekend to extend his team-leading on-base streak to 9 games (4/30-c).
Recorded his 2nd triple of the season on Friday.
Is reaching base at a .429 clip since April 30, ranking T-6th in the California League over that span (min. 30 AB).
Ricardo Cova extended a 5-game RBI streak with 1 recorded in each of his 3 games played over the weekend.
Drove in a run with an RBI-double on Sunday.
Marks his 9th of the season, tied for 7th most in the California League.
Jean Munoz made his 10th relief appearance on Saturday, throwing 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing only 2 hits and striking out 3 batters.
Marks his 7th scoreless 1.0+ inning appearance this season.
Owns a 1.42 ERA in 2026, ranking 4th in the California League (min. 10 G).
2025 Draft pick (Round 4) Mason Peters made his 6th start on Friday, going 4.0 innings with 1 run (1 ER) allowed on 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 6 batters.
Has recorded 6+ strikeouts in four 4.0 inning outings.
Among Single-A pitchers with a sub2.50 ERA over 6 starts, his 13.88 K/9 ranks 2nd.
The 66ers have a 14-18 record and sit 4th in the CAL South division.
66ers Transactions

May 8th: 2B Jo Oyama assigned to ACL Mariners from Inland Empire 66ers
May 9th: Inland Empire 66ers activated C Connor Dykstra from the 7-day injured list
May 9th: RHP Scott Rouse assigned to Inland Empire 66ers (free agent signing)
Coming up for Single-A Inland Empire, the 66ers head to take on the Stockton Ports (affiliate of the Athletics) for a six-game series.
Rookie-level: ACL Mariners Wrap-Up (May 6th-10th)
The ACL Mariners had 3 games this last week, winning 2 and putting their season record to 3-3.
The rookie team lost its first game of the week, but only fell 3-4 after the ACL Angels managed to put up three runs in two innings. TWP Grant Knipp had his first inning with the organization after spending the 2025 season on the full-season injured list, and it was great finally getting to witness his debut. He went only one inning, but allowed no hits or walks and struck out two batters. After walking three and getting two hits during his one and a third innings, Alan Carpinteiro got his first loss (and blown save).
The next day, up against the ACL Giants, the ACL Mariners managed to finally take another victory since their season started, courtesy of a walkoff home run from Yorger Bautista (First of the season). Dylan Wilson started things off, going three and a third innings and striking out six batters while allowing three hits and two walks to result in the only run earned. Earning the win after a clean final inning was Anderson Guevara (1-0), who struck out two of the three batters he faced.
Rounding out the week, the guys took on the ACL Padres, earning another win and bringing the team to .500 for the season. Francisco Pazos got the game win after covering the mound for five innings, where only a single run scored off of five hits. He did end up with three strikeouts off of the 18 batters he faced, which isn’t the strongest strikeout rate, but that didn’t seem to matter with most of the batters still failing to get on base. Joshua Francis went 2-3 with a strikeout, but didn’t manage to record a run for himself. A couple of singles and a sac-fly in the top of the third put the ACL Mariners up 3-1, and they were able to lock in just enough to keep that score for the remaining four innings.
ACL Mariners notes
The ACL Mariners defeated the ACL Giants 2-1 on Friday and then closed out the weekend with 2 wins, including a 3-1 victory against the ACL Padres on Saturday.
The ACL Mariners will take on the ACL White Sox today at 6:00 pm PT.
Luis Hernández owns a 4-game hit streak after recording 2 hits over the weekend, including a double, bolstering his 1.041 OPS.
Ranks 5th in the Rookie League (min. 20 AB).
Mariners No. 10 prospect Yorger Bautista slugged his 1st home run of the season to walk off Saturday’s game with 1 out in the 9th inning.
His .571 SLG over his first 6 games of the season leads the ACL Mariners.
Mariners 2025 Draft pick (Round 2) Nick Becker went 1-for-3 with his 2nd double of the season, a walk, and a run scored.
Has recorded a walk in 4 of 5 games this season, for a .429 OBP.
Joshua Francis went 2-for-3 in Saturday’s game, already his 2nd multi-hit game of the season.
Is the only player on the ACL Mariners to have multiple games with 2+ hits recorded this season.
The ACL Mariners now have a 3-3 record and sit 2nd in the ACL West.
