Four UW Football schedule changes announced ahead of the 2025 season
By Charles Hamaker
Seattle, WA - In the middle of their offseason, the Washington Husky football team has received some updates to their 2025 schedule as a result of the Big Ten Conference and its television partners revealing start times and TV for the first three weeks of the coming season, additionally announcing which games have been moved to Friday. This new information features kickoff times for four of Washington’s 12 games on the season, including three of their seven games played at Husky Stadium.
Washington's home game versus Rutgers, the fourth home contest of the season for the purple and gold, is the Huskies' only Friday game. It will be played at 6:00PM PT on Friday, October 10th and will air on FS1 television. The game had previously been scheduled for Saturday, October 11th, and it’s the only game on Washington’s schedule that changed it’s date. That game against the Scarlet Knights also appears to be sponsored by Planet Fitness, per the Husky athletics website.
Washington’s first two games of the season, August 30th versus the Colorado State Rams and September 6th versus the University of California, Davis Aggies, both home games for the Huskies, have been given the designation of 8PM PT kickoff times, and they both will air on the Big Ten Network. That game against the Aggies appears to be sponsored by Dick's Drive-In, per the Husky athletics website.
Previously, it was announced that the 2025 version of the “Apple Cup” between the Washington State Cougars and the Washington Huskies, taking place in Pullman, would air on CBS. That remains true, but now we have a start time as 4:30PM PT has been solidified, so you can pencil in your kickoff time for that game as Washington is looking to reclaim the in-state rivalry after last years shocking defeat at Lumen Field.
We’ll find out the remainder of the Huskies' kickoff times at later dates, as they’ll be announced by the Big Ten and its TV partners on the Monday 12 days before each respective game. If you’re unfamiliar with this, it’s similar protocol to how they’ve been operating in past years. There are some exceptions to this though, as some of these games could be held for six-day selections, meaning the Sunday before is when we could get this sort of information.
